Life can get messy, and most of us make a mess of our lives, or we find ourselves in a mess at one time or another. Woodland is filled with very nice, loving and friendly people that are also messy, imperfect and broken. We also believe that God can turn our mess into a message; a message of hope and victory.
We encourage one another (and you) to embrace the new life in Christ according to:
2 Corinthians 5:17.
If anyone is in Christ, he or she is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come.
What To Expect
We care about you, not what you’re wearing. We don’t care who you’re voting for in the next election or how many tattoos you have. We’re a church full of imperfect, broken people who are coming to know Jesus and serving others together, and regardless of your story, we believe you belong!
If you’ve never been and you’re considering coming, here’s what you should expect…
Nice people. We LOVE it when someone comes for the first time. Our staff is ready to welcome you and answer any questions. A well stocked coffee & juice bar is available to you in the entryway. So feel free to say, “This is my first time” and we’ll guide you in!
A casual atmosphere. We care about YOU, not what you’re wearing, so feel free to come in jeans or whatever is comfortable. Our dress code is simple: wear something. Grab a hot cup of free coffee & donut from our “Higher Grounds” coffee & juice bar and sit wherever you’d like! We will NOT single you out publicly or ask you to say anything, and we do NOT expect guests to contribute anything financially.
Practical teaching, that connects the words of the Bible to everyday life and music that is lively, including drums and guitars. Don’t be surprised when some people raise their hands as a sign of praise while singing, and don’t feel obligated to do so yourself. We create an atmosphere of freedom in our services.
